(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) On March 4, 2013 at about 3:19pm a County of Wellington OPP officer was conducting mobile radar on Eramosa Road on the edge of the City of Guelph. Police observed an eastbound 2008 Dodge Ram pickup truck travelling above the posted 50km/h speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 111km/h.
Shane Thompson age 24 of Guelph-Eramosa Township has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle and Fail to Surrender Licence, both contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on April 30, 2013 to answer to the charges.
