(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Tuesday July 30, 2013 at approximately 8:52pm, County of Wellington OPP officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. spotcheck on Elora Street West and Queen Street, Mapleton Township. At this time a 2009 Jeep entered the spotcheck. Officers detected the odour of freshly burnt marihuana coming from inside the vehicle. The driver surrendered a quantity of marijuana to police.
Shane Hollier age 38 of Harriston has been charged with Possession of Marihuana – Over 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on September 3, 2013 to answer to the charges.
