(Ottawa)  The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault & Child Abuse Section is investigating a complaint of sexual assault that occurred in the south end of Ottawa.
Between midnight and 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2013, a 28-year-old woman was walking on Industrial Avenue when she was confronted by a male suspect who claimed to have a weapon. She was brought into a nearby field and sexually assaulted. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as about 6’ (183 cm) tall, muscular build and dressed in black clothing. He spoke English with an accent and was carrying a black knapsack.
