Barrie police is investigating a break and enter into a Burton Street residence which occurred some time between the 26th and the 30th of July.
The investigation is ongoing but it is believed that 5 or 6 long guns were removed from a safe in the home using a key hidden within the residence.
Police have collected evidence and are following up on suspects but anyone with information is asked to contact the Barrie Police Detective office.

On July 30th at approximately 3 pm, a 24 year female was walking along the north shore trail when a male rode by on a bicycle and crashed into a bush.
The female tended to the male and felt he may be suffering from heat or sun stroke because of his erratic behaviour. The female offered to attend a nearby store to get the male some water. The male suddenly became belligerent and grabbed at the female’s private areas. the female was able to get away from the male and call police.
The male was located by police and arrested. The investigation continues into whether alcohol, drugs or medical conditions played a role in the male’s alleged behaviour but a 26 year old Barrie man stands charged with one count of sexual assault
