Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for:
Goderich – Bluewater – Southern Huron County
Listowel – Milverton – Northern Perth County
Stratford – Mitchell – Southern Perth County
Wingham – Blyth – Northern Huron County
Scattered thunderstorms have developed over Southwestern Ontario. Some of these thunderstorms may be capable of producing heavy rainfall and wind gusts to 90 km/h.
Fast moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle away. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Hail is also possible. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
