Several Buzzed Drivers Caught

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – A 63 year old male driver from Huron East has lost his driving privileges for three days following a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) check. At about 3:15 p.m. on May 5, 2013 a grey Buick entered the checkpoint located at the intersection of St. Helen’s Line and Zion Road whereupon a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spoke with the driver. The officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol; a roadside test was completed which resulted in a warn range suspension.

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – An early morning Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) check identified a driver that had alcohol on his breath. Just after 7:00 a.m. on May 5, 2013 a blue GMC Sierra entered the checkpoint whereupon a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spoke with the driver.

The officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol and a roadside test was administered. The driver provided a sample which resulted in a warn range suspension. A 25 year old male driver from Goderich has lost his driving privileges for three days.

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – At approximately 2:45 p.m. on May 3, 2013 a grey Ford Escape entered a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint located at the intersection of Stone School Line and Telephone Road. A Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spoke with the male driver and noted the driver had been drinking alcohol.

A roadside test was completed and the driver registered a warn range reading. The 33 year old driver from South Huron has lost his driving privileges for three days.
