SEVEN DAY VEHICLE IMPOUNDMENT & LICENCE SUSPENSION

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A Stratford resident will be without a driver’s licence for the next seven days following a traffic stop on December 4, 2013. Just after 9:00 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Honda CRV speeding along Huron Road east of Front Road. The officer checked the driver’s speed with a radar device and locked the speed at 139 km/h; 59 km/h above the posted 80 km/h limit.

Jereen IGNATIOUS, a 35 year old female from Stratford has been charged with “Race a Motor Vehicle” and “Fail to Surrender Driver’s Licence”. She now has a court appearance scheduled for Provincial Offences Act Court – Goderich on January 21, 2014. Her driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and the vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
