Serious Collision Update – Three Parties Transported for Medical Care

(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On March 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a serious two vehicle collision on 6 Highway between North Diagonal/Concession 16 and Spring Creek Road, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. The Bruce Peninsula OPP along with the OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) Team, Bruce County Emergency Medical Services and South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department attended the scene.

A red Dodge and silver Toyota were involved in a head on collision. The highway was closed for approximately 5 hours and 40 minutes.

A driver and a passenger from the Dodge were transported via ambulance to local hospitals for serious non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Toyota was transported to a London Hospital for serious non-life threatening injuries.

All three parties are still receiving medical care.

The Bruce Peninsula OPP is thanking the public for avoiding this section of the highway in order to complete the investigation.

The investigation is on-going.
