(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP) On June 6, 2016, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Mapleton Fire Rescue and Perth Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended a serious collision at the intersection of Wellington Road 86 and Perth 124, Mapleton Township, involving a tractor trailer and a 2014 Mazda.
The female driver of the Mazda has been identified as 22-year-old Juanita VONGSOUPHATH of North Perth. She is in a London area hospital and her condition is critical but stable. The male driver of the tractor trailer has been identified as 23-year-old Michael GALBRAITH of North Perth.
West Region OPP Technical Collision Investigators continue to investigate this collision.
