(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On July 6th, 2014 at 1:49 am, the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a motor vehicle collision involving 2 vehicles at the intersection of Silver Lake Road and Allenford Road, South Bruce Peninsula. Officers attended and found a 2011 Ford pick-up truck and a 2002 BMW involved in the crash.
Investigation revealed that the BMW failed to stop for the stop sign and ran into the path of the Ford pick-up truck where they collided.
All five occupants of the BMW were transported to the local hospital where one male was air lifted to hospital for treatment of serious life threatening injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit assisted the Bruce Peninsula OPP with this investigation.
The driver of the BMW, 22 year old Manpreet GILL of Brampton Ontario, has been charged with careless driving.
