Serial Robbery Suspect Photo Released – Can You Identify This Man?

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a serial robbery suspect.

Since June 27, 2015, the same suspect is believed responsible for a series of 6 retail robberies.

* Convenience store-500 block of Gladstone Avenue- June 27 at approximately 2:45 pm

* Pharmacy-700 block of Bank Street- June 27 at approximately 6:55 pm

* Cannabis store-300 block of Bank Street- June 27 at approximately 7:55 pm

* Gas Station-500 block of Bank Street-June 27 at approximately 9:50 pm

* Shoe store-900 block of Carling Avenue- June 29 at approximately 9:30 am

* Pet Store-600 block of Bank Street-June 29 at approximately 2:10 pm

In each incident, a lone suspect entered the premises and made a demand for cash. In many instances, a large kitchen knife was produced by the suspect. In each case the suspect fled with small quantities of cash. There were no injuries in any of the robberies. In some of the robberies, the suspect was seen leaving the area on a bicycle, described as a red & black mountain bike. In several of the occurrences, the suspect was openly apologetic to the victim for doing the robbery. In one instance the suspect indicated that he needed money in order to purchase a bus ticket to see his son. In another, he indicated he needed money in order to get to Toronto.

The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 5-8(173 cm)
