Serial Armed Robber Arrested In Kitchener

On the 26th of October, 2015 at 8:45 p.m. a Kitchener man was arrested in relation to a number of outstanding armed robbery offences that had been committed throughout the region over the previous few months. Philip Jason HASKETT (DOB:1979/07/19)was wanted by the Waterloo Regional Police Service on three (3) outstanding Canada Wide Warrants for Armed Robbery. HASKETT was arrested without incident at University Avenue West and Fischer-Hallman Road., Waterloo in a motor vehicle. HASKETT will be held in custody pending a bail hearing. HASKETT is currently facing eight (8) Armed Robbery charges. A 30 year old Kitchener man was also arrested and will attend a bail hearing on unrelated charges.

On Saturday September 26, 2015 at 9:35 am., an unidentified white male entered the Scotiabank located at 1144 Courtland Ave East in the City of Kitchener. The male approached the teller and demanded money. After receiving an unknown amount of money, the male exited the bank and met up with another male and both fled on foot. There were other customers in the bank at the time however were not threatened or placed in danger by the suspect. No one was physically injured as a result of this incident. Security photos are included in this release. Police are requesting assistance in identifying either male.
