On Friday September 20, 2013, a theft occurred at an Owen Sound senior’s complex. While a resident had left her room, a male had entered the building where he proceeded to the unoccupied room and stole jewellery from a dresser. The incident was reported to police on Monday and fortunately was captured on a video security system at the home.
Today, officers located and arrested the man downtown. John WRIGHT of no fixed address has been charged with break, enter and theft, possession of stolen property and two counts of failing to comply with probation. Wright has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on September 26th. This incident is not believed to be connected to any of the recent residential break and enters in the city.
