(Ottawa) ā The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section is investigating two reported incidents of a suspicious male attempting to lure teenage girls into a vehicle.
On December 5, 2015 the Ottawa Police received a third party report alleging that a child luring and sexual assault occurred in the area of Grove Avenue and Leonard Avenue on November 30, 2015 between the hours 7:45pm and 9:00pm involving a 15 year old girl. The victim is not providing further information to police, at this time.
The suspect male is described as a Caucasian male, 40-50 years old, slim build with short grey hair. He was wearing a t-shirt. The vehicle is described as a black pick-up truck.
On January 31, 2016 a report was received by Ottawa Police that a 13 year old girl was walking on Pansy Avenue near Seneca Street at approximately 5:45pm when a male stopped his vehicle, exited and offered her a stuffed animal. The young girl declined and immediately left the area.
The male is described as a Caucasian male, 30-40 years old, short dark brown hair, approximately 6′ (183cm). He was wearing a dark jacket possibly, grey, black or brown. The vehicle is described as a black Chevrolet pick-up.
The Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section has yet to determine if these incidents are related.
