Seeking public assistance in solving a bank robbery

(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a recent bank robbery.

On February 21, 2014, at approximately 5:40 pm, a lone male entered a banking institution situated along the 1500 block of Bank Street near Heron Road. The suspect, wearing a disguise, made verbal demands for cash from a bank employee and a customer in the bank. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash from both the employee and the customer. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 5’8-5’10(173 cm to 178 cm) tall
