Update: Drive now in stable condition.
(TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON, ON) – On October 31, 2018 at approximately 1:00 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Wellington Road 7 and Wellington Road 12 in the hamlet of Parker. Initial reports indicated that a northbound sedan travelling on Wellington Road 7 collided with a transport truck that entered the intersection while travelling westbound on Wellington Road 12.
The three occupants of the sedan were all transported to hospital with varying injuries. The 52-year-old female driver was transferred to a trauma centre for life-threatening injuries. Her status has been updated and she is listed as being in stable condition. The two passengers, who are family of the driver, sustained non-life threatening injuries. All three are from Palmerston.
Wellington County OPP and Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) continue to investigate and charges may be pending.
