(Ottawa) – On the 20th day of January 2016, the Guns and Gangs Unit executed two criminal code search warrants in the 1000 and 2000 block of Russell Road. As a result, one (1) loaded .22 caliber handgun with ammunition was seized. The Guns and Gangs Unit with the assistance of East Neighborhood Officers (NHO) arrested 3 persons and 2 were consequently charged. These search warrants were in relation to a shooting investigation which commenced on January 15th 2016.
Christine MINER (46 years of age) and a young offender (male) have been charged with numerous firearm related offences.
