(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Saturday July 20, 2013, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)officers conducted a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program at the intersection of Road 165 and Line 87 (north west of Listowel).
Shortly before 10 p.m. officers stopped and spoke to the driver of a Pontiac SUV. The driver displayed signs of impairment. The male was arrested and transported to the Palmerston OPP Detachment where failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.
Scott SOLOMAN (46) of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, drive disqualified (X 3), and suspended drive. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on August 14, 2013 to answer to this charge. His vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
