(Guelph-Eramosa TWP, ON) On Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 4:18 pm, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting R.I.D.E. checks on Jones Baseline at Eastview Road in Guelph-Eramosa Twp.
At that time and location officers investigated the driver of a Chevy Astrovan that entered into the checkpoint. Police spoke to the driver and discovered that he had been drinking. The driver was administered a Roadside Screening Device Test which resulted in a fail.
Scott Patterson aged 49 of Guelph has been charged with Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on March 1, 2013 to answer to the charge.
