(Guelph-Eramosa TWP, ON) On Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 12:00 am, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting R.I.D.E. checks on Highway 7 near Jones Baseline in Guelph-Eramosa Twp.
At this time and location officers investigated the driver of a 2006 Chrysler 300 that entered into the checkpoint. Police spoke to the driver and discovered that he had been drinking. The driver was administered a Roadside Screening Device Test which resulted in a fail.
Scott Edwards aged 40 of Guelph has been charged with Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on April 2, 2013 to answer to the charge.
