SCHWEITZER – Drunk Driving

(OLIPHANT, ON) – On 7 May, 2016 at 8:03 p.m., a Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling in the area of Spry Lake Road and Bryant Street in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. The officer stopped a Yamaha TW200 cc dirt bike and found the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was administered which resulted in a “fail.” The driver was arrested and transported to the Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment for subsequent breath test.

Aaron SCHWEITZER, 23, of South Bruce Peninsula has been charged with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his system and with drive motor vehicle with no plates. The vehicle has been impounded and his driver’s licence has been suspended. He is scheduled to appear before the Owen Sound Court of Justice on June 2, 2016, to answer to the charges.

A second driver, 23, from Guelph was also charged for operating an off-road vehicle with no licence.
