2:42 pm police had some firearms turned into the police office. If you have some firearms that you do not wish to possess any further it is better to get them out of your possession. At least once a year police have firearms destroyed. You can bring your firearms to the police station and request they be destroyed. Always call ahead when bringing firearms to the police office. When you get there leave the firearms in the trunk of your vehicle and come into the station and bring the police to your vehicle.
6:52 pm police received a report of a potential impaired driver in Port Elgin. The vehicle and driver were located; the driver failed a roadside breath test. At the office the driver provided breath samples of 222 mgms and 232 mgms, the legal limit is 80 mgms. The 29 year old Saugeen Shores female was charged with Over 80 mgms, her vehicle was impounded for 7 days and her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days under the ADLS system.
8:31 pm police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Canadian Tire. Two males entered the store and one selected a pair of gloves, took the tags off and left the store. Both males are on video. Police are investigating.

9:02 am police responded to a collision at Bricker and Gustavus St. A vehicle was south on Bricker St stopped at Gustavus St. Vehicles were turning right to go north on Bricker St from Gustavus St and the vehicle proceeded striking a vehicle in the center lane going west on Gustavus St. No injuries.

5:04 pm police investigated a theft of alcohol complaint from the Southampton LCBO. The male party in question was trespassed from the store.
8:37 pm a mini 4 wheeler was stolen from a carport on Wellington St. No suspects.

2:03 pm a credit card fraud was reported to police. On the 25th of November approximately 50 transactions of the same amount were put against a credit card. The incident was reported right away to police and to the credit card company. The credit card company is investigating.

9:00 am a taxi was south on Bricker St where a forklift had been loading a tractor trailer and was stationary on the street. The passing taxi struck the forks of the forklift and caused damage to the tires on the taxi.
9:00 am police responded to a collision at Bricker and Gustavus St. A vehicle was north on Bricker, stopped at a stop sign at Gustavus and proceeded before the way was clear and was struck by a vehicle that was west on Gustavus St. No injuries.
10:04 pm a female was observed in the middle of Mill St she was intoxicated and was arrested for public intoxication. She was picked up at the station by a sober friend.

12:24 am a Saugeen Shores officer was on Hwy 21 heading into Southampton when the cruiser he was operating was struck on the side by a deer. The deer ran off, the cruiser received minimal damage.
8:22 am sometime overnight the front windshield was smashed on a vehicle parked in a parking lot along Huron St. No suspects.
9:02 pm police conducted RIDE in Southampton. Two people came through the RIDE lane that had been consuming alcohol. The driver did not have a valid driver’s licence. There were 4 opened beer cans and 2 unopened beer cans within reach of the driver. The driver received a ticket for open alcohol and no driver’s licence.
9:07 pm, police conducted RIDE in Southampton. Four occupants of a vehicle were stopped in a RIDE lane. Police observed open alcohol in the vehicle and seized a marihuana grinder with a small amount of weed in it. One of the passengers was charged with open liquor.

10:59 am it was reported that sometime overnight a windshield was shattered on a vehicle parked in Southampton. The vehicle also had been egged. No suspects.
11:35 am sometime overnight someone used magic marker to write profanity on a STOP sign in Southampton.
