29 Dec 2015, 11:47 am police responded to a motor vehicle collision at Bruce and Elgin St. A vehicle was reversing from a laneway, the drivers foot slipped off the brake onto the gas and struck a vehicle driving on the roadway. This vehicle then struck a hydro pole. The driver of the responsible vehicle received minor injuries. This driver received two tickets, one for failing to yield from a private drive and another for driving while prohibited.
4:53 pm police responded to a break and enter to a residence in Port Elgin. No point of entry can be identified. The person taking care of the residence is compiling a list of items believed to be stolen.

9:03 pm, police conducted RIDE in Southampton, no violations.
31 Dec 2015,
4:03 pm police received a complaint of a threatening incident. This matter is being investigated.
1 Jan 2016,
12:57 am, police responded to a vehicle stuck in the snowbank. A vehicle lost control on Waterloo coming from Biener and stuck in the snowbank. No injuries.
2:57 am police responded to a report of a person banging on a residence door. Police located an intoxicated 20 year old male banging on the door and took him home to his fathers.
3:18 am police received a report of an intoxicated male stepping out into traffic on Goderich St. As the police cruiser approached the male stepped in front of the cruiser. The 30 year old Kitchener man spent the night in the cell.

2:53 pm police received a report of a fight that occurred inside the Walmart store on 31 Dec 2015. Police are investigating.

11:11 pm police responded to a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy 21 by Concession 10. The driver lost control in snow and ended in the ditch, no injuries.
3 Jan 2016,
1:28 pm police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Albert St, Southampton. A vehicle was north on Albert St and was stopped and signaling a turn left into Macs Milk and was struck from behind. Minor damage to both vehicles, no injuries.
1:57 pm police responded to a call to the All Seasons Motel to a drug overdose where vital signs were absent. The 29 year old Hamilton man was located on the floor but was responsive. He was taken to hospital by ambulance and held for observation. The male overdosed on a heroine injection.
Festive RIDE was conducted by the Saugeen Shores Police between November 28 and December 31st.
