A Frenzy Shimano EQ mountain bike was turned in to police. The owner can attend and identity and claim the bike at the police station.
Police received a traffic complaint about vehicles failing to stop for school buses. The area of Goderich Street and Ivings Drive has been identified as a problem area. Police will be monitoring the problem. The fine for a first offence is $490 and six demerit points.
At 5:20pm police attended to an incident at the Port Elgin beach. A swimmer was in distress. The swimmer had been assisted in getting back to shore by a rescuer on a paddleboard. The male was transported to hospital for precautionary reasons.

At 11:00am, police attended at a 2 vehicle collision at the intersection of Bruce Road 17 and Bruce Road 3. The collision resulted in damage to both vehicles but no injuries. A driver was charged with Fail to Yield under the Highway Traffic Act.
Police received a complaint of a theft of clothing from a business on Goderich Street. A suspect has been identified and the incident is still under investigation.

Police were dispatched to a domestic dispute in Southampton. After investigation a male, age 21, has been charged with assault and forcible confinement.
At 1:30pm, police investigated a motor vehicle collision on Goderich Street. The collision resulted in minor damages but no injuries. A driver was charged with Change Lanes Not in Safety under the Highway Traffic Act.

At 11:00am, police were dispatched to a suspicious person on Goderich Street in Port Elgin. Information was received that the male was making obscene gestures. The male, age 48 from Toronto, was located and spoken to. He was found to have a committal warrant and was arrested and transported to a detention centre.
A black bicycle with a small motor was reported stolen from the area of Stafford and Provincial Streets in Port Elgin.

A found bike was reported to police. It was found abandoned in the area of Ruby and Green Streets. The bike is a CCM Static.
Police are investigating an assault that occurred in a bar on Goderich Street. There are conflicting versions as to what occurred. Witness statements are being obtained and the incident is still under investigation.
25 September 2016
A found black mountain bike was reported to police. It was found in the area of Parkwood Drive. The bike is a Wicked Fugitive.
Police received a report of a lost drone. The drone is described as being black with orange and yellow and the make is Syma. The drone is believed to have been lost in the Waterloo and Gustavus Streets area.
