On Sunday November 30, 2014 at approximately 8:45 a.m. members of the Guelph Police Service had occasion to arrest an adult male on Gordon Street near Fountain Street in relation to an ongoing motor vehicle collision investigation. Through processing the accused complained of an injury and was transported to the Guelph General Hospital where he was treated and released. Accordingly the Guelph Police contacted the Ontario Special Investigations Unit advising of the injury, which has invoked its mandate and will investigate the injury.
As always the Guelph Police Service will cooperate with the SIU through its investigation. As dictated by legislation all further information released to the public / media shall originate through the SIU.
