(WALKERTON, ON) – On January 7th, 2012 at 1:50 pm, members of the South Bruce OPP set up a R.I.D.E. checkpoint on Yonge Street North near Lobie’s Park. At 3:02 pm, officers noticed a Silver Chevrolet Cavalier try to avoid the checkpoint. The vehicle was stopped and officers learned the driver’s licence was under suspension. 30 year old Ryan GIRODAT of Owen Sound has been charged with Drive under suspension, Drive with no insurance, Use unauthorized plate and Operate unsafe vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on February 21st, 2012 to answer to the charges. The Cavalier was towed from the scene.
