On Sunday August 13 th , 2017 Owen Sound Police investigated a two vehicle collision in the intersection of 10 th Street West and 2 Nd Avenue West.
The investigation revealed that at approximately 4:00 p.m. a 49 year old Owen Sound man was driving east on 10 th West in a Chrysler sedan when he failed to stop for the red light. His vehicle struck a 2012 GMC truck that was northbound crossing the intersection on 2 nd Avenue West. The occupants of the Chrysler were transported by ambulance to the Owen Sound hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Both vehicles received significant damage.
The driver of the Chrysler was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for disobeying a red light.
