(CHESLEY, ON) – On December 18th, 2011 at 4:23 am, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a break in at St Annes Catholic Church on 2nd Ave Southwest in Chesley. The stolen property included a Pope John Paul medallion, church documents and a gold plated communion bowl. The stolen property was valued at $500, but the value of the damage caused to the church is estimated at $10,000. The South Bruce OPP, with the assistance of the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit, has made an arrest and recovered the stolen property.
44 year old Ross MORROW of Chesley has been charged with Break and enter, Mischief and Possess stolen property. He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for December 19th, 2011 at 2:00 pm.
