Rookie League baseball provides approximately 70 children between the ages of eight and eleven years old with the opportunity to experience the game of baseball. While participating, they build on the spirit of teamwork and can also develop leadership skills. The league is made up of four teams that play a scheduled game and one practice each week for a period of six weeks throughout the summer. The teams are coached by police officers that volunteer their time for this important community project.
