(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Friday July 30, 2010, shortly before 7 p.m. a vehicle was observed turning from a side road onto Perth Line 55 nearly causing a collision. The vehicle was followed into Monkton where it just missed being struck by a truck. A Perth County OPP officer attended in Monkton and located the lone male driver. The driver was arrested for impaired operation and was transported to the North Perth OPP Detachment where breath tests were conducted. The breath results were in excess of .80 mgs. on the Intoxilyzer.
Ronald Clark (55) of the Municipality of West Perth was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and with having in excess of eighty milligrams of blood alcohol in one hundred millilitres of blood. He was also charged with driving while being disqualified.
He is to appear in criminal court at the Atwood Community Centre on September 22nd 2010 to answer to these charges.
