Rockwood Suspicious Male Incident Solved

(VILLAGE OF ROCKWOOD, ON) On Saturday, February 2, 2013 a Rockwood man contacted Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) after reading an article in the local paper about a man that allegedly approached a group of boys that were playing in Valentino Park. The OPP were seeking the public’s assistance in locating this male.

As a result of the new information received from the caller the investigation has now concluded and police are satisfied with the identity of the man and the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident. There is no cause for concern and no charges will be laid.

Wellington County OPP would like to thank the citizens and the media that assisted with this investigation.
