Robert Vancuren – Crashed Into Snow Bank – Drunk Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Saturday March 12, 2011 around 5:30 p.m., a Perth County OPP officer was flagged down by a resident on Arthur St. in Mitchell. The officer was advised that a pickup truck had been driven into a snow bank after which the male driver was observed exiting his vehicle carrying a bottle.

The officer located the male who displayed obvious signs of impairment. He was arrested and was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville for breath tests.

As a result of the tests, Robert Vancuren (50) of the Municipality of West Perth has been charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Stratford on April 18, 2011 to answer to the charges. In addition he has also been charged with driving a motor vehicle with open liquor and was served a 90 day drivers licence suspension.
