(MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH HURON, ON) On Wednesday August 20, 2014 shortly after 9:30 a.m., Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a residence on McTaggart Line, where a collision had occurred on private property.
Investigation revealed that an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) had flipped while it was being operated on a residential driveway. As a result of this crash, the male rider was transported to, and treated at a local hospital for his minor injuries. The rider who displayed signs of impairment was subsequently administered Intoxilyzer breath tests which he failed.
Robert SANDWITH (32) of Grand Bend has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences; “driving while ability impairedâ€Â, and “driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in bloodâ€Â. He is to appear at the Goderich Court of Justice on September 15, 2014, to answer to these charges.
