(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Monday August 26, 2013, at approximately 6:45 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to an address on Line 75 east of Atwood where a Toyota Matrix was observed in a corn field.
Within minutes police located a heavily damaged Matrix whose male driver was attempting to drive the vehicle out of a ditch. Officers determined that the damage to the vehicle had been caused by the vehicle rolling over into the corn field. The driver was assisted out of the vehicle and was tended to by ambulance personnel.
The driver who displayed signs of impairment was arrested and transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath test.
Robert BRICKER (58) of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with “impaired drivingâ€Â, â€Âdrive motor vehicle – over 80 mgs of alcoholâ€Â, and “driving while under suspensionâ€Â. He will have to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on Monday October 07, 2013 to answer to these charges.
