(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating two bank robberies, which are believed to have been committed by the same suspect.
On November 5, 2014, at approximately 4:00 pm, a lone male attended a banking institution situated along the 400 block of Rideau Street. The male approached a bank employee and produced a note indicating he was armed and demanding money. No weapon was seen. The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.
On November 29, 2014, at approximately 10:15 am, a lone male attended a bank situated along the 6400 block of Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard in Orléans. The suspect approached a bank employee and initially made out to conduct routine business. The suspect then produced a note demanding money. The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as being a black male, approx. 6’0-6’2″ (183 cm-188 cm) and approx. 150-160lbs (68 kg-73 kg)
