On October 9, 2016, at 1:55 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police were called to a robbery at a Short Stop convenience store on Country Hill Drive in Kitchener. A man held a knife up to the female clerk and demanded money before running away toward a nearby wooded area. No one was injured. The suspect is described as a young white male, 510 to 511 with a thin build, pale skin and green eyes. He was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
