On Tuesday February 18th, 2014 at approximately 9:15 p.m., two teen males were walking home when they were approached by another teen male in the area of Kingsway Drive and Wilson Avenue in the city of Kitchener. The approaching male demanded the intended victims surrender their cell phones. The suspect indicated he had a concealed knife, however none was observed. Neither victim suffered any injury and nothing was taken from either before the suspect left the area on foot, travelling northbound on Kingsway Drive. Police attended and searched the area for the suspect without success. The investigation is ongoing and police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, described as a tanned male, 16-18 years old, approximately 6′ tall, slender build and speaking with an accent of unknown origin. The suspect was wearing a black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt and a baby blue bandana that concealed his facial features.
