On July 29, just before 10am, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Branch arrested and charged a 33 year old Kitchener man in connection to the robbery that occurred at the Bank of Montreal on Highland Road West in Kitchener on July 22, 2014. The accused is appearing in bail court today charged with Robbery and Wearing a Disguise.

On Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at approximately 3:15 pm a male suspect robbed the Bank of Montreal located on Highland Rd W Kitchener. The suspect passed a note to a teller demanding money. The suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No staff or customers at the bank were injured at a result of the robbery. The suspect was captured on video surveillance and is described as a white male, approximately 40 years of age, 5’5”, average build wearing grey newsboy style hat, dark sunglasses, tan/beige scarf, black jacket, large white with black baseball batting gloves and jeans.
