The Guelph Police are seeking witnesses to a series of incidents that resulted in two Guelph drivers facing criminal charges Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 4:15 p.m., the drivers of a red Dodge Ram pickup truck and a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck were westbound on Speedvale Avenue East from Metcalfe Street and became involved in a dispute while driving. The two drivers aggressively moved through traffic to position themselves in close proximity to each other and at one point one of the drivers threw a cup of coffee at the others’ vehicle. The interaction concluded with the two pickup trucks involved in a collision just east of Woolwich Street.
There was minor damage and no injuries were reported.
The 27-year-old male driver of the Chevrolet Silverado and the 32-year-old male driver of the Dodge Ram are both charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in court in September. The two drivers are known to each other.
Anyone who witnessed the interaction between these two drivers or the collision between these two vehicles is asked to contact Cst. D. Mosey of the Traffic Division, 519-824-1212 ext. 7145.
