(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint set up by Huron OPP at Telephone Road and Stone School Line resulted in a 21 year old male driver leaving with a drug charge.
Just before 10:30 p.m. on September 6, 2012 a grey Buick entered the checkpoint and the driver was spoken to by police. Officers completed a search of the vehicle and located a quantity of an illegal drug.
Jamie BAER, age 21, from Brucefield has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drive Motor Vehicle – No Validation on Plate. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice on October 5, 2012 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
