RIDE Stop Leads To Drug Charge

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – On January 13, 2012 at approximately 12:15 a.m. Huron County OPP officers conducted a R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check stop at the intersection of Bluewater Highway and Saltford Road. A southbound Ford Ranger stopped at the checkpoint and upon speaking with the driver officers discovered a quantity of an illegal drug in the vehicle. David ARMSTRONG, aged 33 of Wallaceburg, ON has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. He will answer to the charge at the Ontario Court of Justice- Goderich on February 27, 2012.
