RIDE Spot Check Leads To Drug Charges

(GUELPH/ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – On Friday September 28, 2012 at approximately 11:42pm County of Wellington OPP officers were conducting RIDE spot checks on Highway 7 Guelph/Eramosa Twp. At this time and location officers investigated the occupants of a motor vehicle that came upon the checkpoint. During the investigation police located a small quantity of marihuana and ecstasy.

Jake Friensen aged 23 of Weselley has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 grams and Possession of Schedule 3 – Ecstasy contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on November 14, 2012 to answer to the charges.
