RIDE Results In Marihuana Charges

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Friday evening December 23, 2011 Perth County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program at the intersection of Perth Line 43 and Perth Road 107 in Amulree. At approximately 7 p.m. a vehicle was stopped and while speaking to the driver the odour of freshly burned Marihuana was detected inside the car and Marihuana was also observed inside the vehicle.

As a result, Kurtis Smith (21) and Derrick Wolfe (23) both residents of the Municipality of West Perth have been charged with being in “possession of Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams”. Both charged persons are scheduled to appear in Stratford court on February 6, 2012 to answer to the charges.
