(County of Brant, ON) – Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while conducting RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) on 21 November 2016 at approximately 10:45 p.m. on New Port Road in the County of Brant.
A 2003 Toyota Camry came into the RIDE check and it was discovered that the driver had his driving privileges currently suspended.
Upon further investigation the officers locate a quantity of marihuana and methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
Police have arrested and charged:
45-year-old Kent BARTLETT of Haldimand County with:
Possession of a controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances act x 2.
Driving while under suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
30-year-old Alana WILLIS of Haldimand County with:
Possession of a controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances act x 2.
All the involved parties will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to their charges.
