(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – Members of the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were conducting a Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (RIDE) initiative on the Purple Valley Rd, Town of South Bruce Peninsula, on September 22nd, 2013 between 8:00p.m. and 9:00p.m.
Officers stopped a vehicle with two occupants in it, as they asked about alcohol consumption a strong odor of marihuana came from the vehicle. The officers observed open alcohol and uncased long guns in the vehicle. The two parties were arrested and charged for various Criminal Code of Canada, Liquor License Act, Fish and Wildlife and Drug Offences.
Scheduled to appear in Owen Sound Court on October 31, 2013 are 24 year old David MANSUR of Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation, and 26 year old Philip BARKER of Toronto. They were released on a Promise to appear.
