The Owen Sound Police Service was conducting a R.I.D.E. on the Eddie Sargent Parkway at approximately 8:00am this morning when they had the opportunity to investigate a male driver. A strong odour of cannabis marihuana was detected by the officer. The subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of a 26 year old Kemble resident for possession of a schedule II substance contrary to s. 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The male was released at the scene and given a December court date.
