The London Police Cyber Crime Unit received a complaint from a citizen reporting they had discovered child pornographic images on an abandoned computer system while clearing out a storage locker that was no longer in use.
On Friday, January 31, 2014, Richard Wilkinson, 61 years of London, was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography, contrary to section 163.1(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The London Police Service is a member of the Provincial Strategy to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation on the internet. The Strategy has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
