On Sunday, August 25, 2013 at approximately 2:32 a.m., the London Police Service attended the area of Simcoe Street and Waterloo Street to investigate a hit and run collision. A red Ford pickup was travelling east-bound on Simcoe Street when it struck a vehicle that was parked on the south side of the street.
The driver of the red Ford pickup fled the scene and was later located by Police .
As a result of the investigation, 25-year-old Ricardo Cordeiro of London, has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
Impaired care and control of a motor vehicle, contrary to section 253(1)(a)
Impaired care and control of a motor vehicle with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b)
Failing to remain at the scene of a collision, contrary to section 252(1.1)
No one was injured as a result of the collision.
