Revolver, ammunition and drugs seized

(Ottawa) On Tuesday, June 17, 2014, the Ottawa Police Service Tactical Unit executed two simultaneous warrants under the CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) in the 0-100 block of Cutts Private and the 1800 block of Baseline Road.

As a result of these warrants, Ottawa Police Drug Unit Investigators seized a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver, 5 rounds of ammunition, 94 grams of crack cocaine valued at $18, 800.00, and 99.1 grams of marihuana valued at $991.00.

A 2007 Infiniti Q35 was seized as offence related property from Nehemiah CAMPBELL at the time of his arrest. Als seized, a total of $2,895.00 Canadian currency, found on CAMPBELL and at the Baseline Road address.

As a result of the investigation, Nehemiah CAMPBELL, 24 year old male, and Justice NDATUJE, 23 year old male, both from Ottawa are jointly charged with:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I substance CDSA
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule II substance CDSA
Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000.00
Careless Storage of Firearm
Careless Storage of Ammunition
Possession of Restricted Weapon with no license
Possession of an Unregistered Restricted Weapon
Possession of an Unregistered Restricted Weapon
Possession of a Restricted Weapon without authority
Possession of a Firearm obtained by Crime under the Criminal Code of Canada
CAMPBELL is also facing charges of Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000.00 and Breach of Undertaking X 2 under the Criminal Code of Canada.

CAMPBELL and NDATUJE were held for a show cause hearing. NDATUJE was released on a Recognizance of bail and CAMPBELL was held in custody for a court appearance on July 7, 2014.
