Shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 rd , 2017 police, fire & ambulance responded to a residence on fire in the 1600 block of 9 th Avenue East, Owen Sound.
Upon arrival of emergency services the residential trailer was fully engulfed by flames. While fire fighters battled flames, police redirected traffic around the 1600 block of 9 th Avenue East for about 2 hours.
Away from home at the time of the fire, neither the occupant, nor responding emergency service personnel were injured.
Owen Sound Fire & Emergency Services are investigating the cause of the fire. It is not deemed suspicious. The trailer is destroyed.
Thankfully the occupant has support of family and friends for temporary housing.
